Posted by It’s been 10 years since I migrated off of EMC and deployed my first pair of NetApp clusters. 3 years later I deployed All-Flash in both datacenters for VDI. It was brilliant! But the shine starts to fade, and tarnish starts to take over.
And now…Pure Storage! The FlashArray is fantastic. All NVMe. Single pool, and de-dupe at the backplane. No more planning volumes and LUN’s to get the best reduction possible. More to follow as I gather new benchmarks for our HUGE SQL Always-On clusters.
